Shoe Box Dope
Sneaker Heads all share the same passion for sneakers and are often viewed as one track minded but in actuality everyone spends money on what they love. From the Foodies to the Bey hive everyone has something they're passionate about!
On Saturday August 4th, Sneakers and Da Fox presented its first annual sneaker convention "Shoe Box Dope" at the Cobb County Civic Center. The event brought out sneaker heads from around the city allowing them to buy,sell,and trade all of their favorite sneakers!
The Holiday Firm and their host of the hour Brittani Krystin, 1/3 curator of A Boss Night Inn and The Happy Hour Podcast spoke with the curator of "Shoe Box Dope" , TKO about his inspiration behind creating the event. " I am a sneaker head and I wanted to create an event that was not like the other sneaker conventions, so we added hip hop to add an entertainment experience to the event." (Interview Below)
Shoe Box Dope brought out all diversities as well as a number of Hip Hop's heavy hitters including Streetz 94.5 Ferrari Simmons, DJ Infamous, DJ Don Canon, Nick Love, DJ Kutthroat, and DJ Mike Mars, who all share the same passion for sneakers!
After speaking with a lot of the attendees, majority of their first sneakers were the Jordan's from the Ray Allen Movie " He Got Game". Other fan favorites were Air Max 95. Brittani was also able to speak with some of the Hip-Hop Industries heavy hitters about the relation to sneakers/fashion as it relates to the Music Industry See What they thought below.
